More about VetBuds:

We are an all volunteer group of Military Veterans whose purpose is to provide assistance to other Veterans

 

We do this in 3 main forms:

  1. Provide vehicles to homeless Vets enabling them to get back on their feet.
    1. To date we have donated over 43 cars to homeless Vets.
  2. We provide assistance to Vets in need including homeless Vets.
    1. To include, mental health counseling, VA affairs counseling, food clothing/drives, mobility access to homes and housing options for homeless Vets.
  3. We provide $1000 monthly scholarships to Veterans continuing their education at Georgia State University.
    1. Awarded over 20 scholarships away over the last 5 years.

 

There are a tremendous amount of local Veterans that we are unable to serve because our resources are extremely limited.   This event will allow us to reach out to those Veterans and provide them the support they deserve.

 

About artists at the Songwriters 4 Vets event:

  • Patrick Davis – has written numerous top 10 hits for artists such as Jimmy Buffet, Jewel, Darius Rucker & Lady Antebellum
  • Levi Lowrey – has performed and written numerous songs with Zac Brown Band including #1 hit Colder Weather
  • Shawn Mullins – Born in Atl, went to UNG, has #1 song “Lullaby” and many other songs written and performed over last 20 years
  • Maggie Rose – Her song  “Maybe Tonight” debuted on Great American Country’s top 20, known for her cover of “Use Somebody” and has performed on Grand Ole Opry and has toured with Lainey Wilson
